Schooling Preparation Course

This is a 1-day course designed to provide intensive training on schooling over obstacles, simulator coaching and training required for race-riding. The course will include video analysis of your riding using analysis software.

You are eligible if you:

• Are applying for an A3 or Conditional Licence
• Are awaiting a re-assessment
• Hold an A1 licence and are upgrading to A3

Note: You must be 17 years to apply for an A3 Licence.

This course offers professional training of the highest standard for riders who plan to apply for a category A3 Qualified Riders licence or those who plan to apply for a conditional rider’s licence in the future. This is a FULLY-FUNDED training course supported by EQUUIP (https://www.equuip.ie/) and is a training opportunity not to be missed. Training is delivered by RACE staff and includes video analysis of your riding over obstacles.

Places on this course are restricted to 6 riders per day and places are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. To register your interest for this course, complete the application form via the link to Application Form

The training is fully funded, however there will be a €25 deposit required at the time of booking (refundable once the training is completed)

9am: Registration & Briefing at RACE barn – report ready to ride

9.15am: 1st Lot – RACE Indoor School – video recording (poles & hurdles)

10.350am: Break

10.45am: 2nd Lot – RACE Indoor School & Gallops (hurdles & fences)

12.30pm: Lunch

1pm: video review of morning training

1.45pm: Simulator training

3.30pm: Finish
